Custom made draperies range from functional to fabulous!
They make that special personal statement which reflects your style and taste. Use draperies as the focal point of a room or to elegantly become the backdrop for other elements in the room. Create that finishing touch, warm up a room, add a splash of color, allow privacy or simply diffuse sunlight; these are but a few benefits of embellishing your home with a custom window treatment. Be amazed how our design process takes you through the steps painlessly. First, stop in for a complimentary in showroom consultation. We’ll sketch out a preliminary design by hand or with our state of the art software, then guide you through fabric selection(have you seen our library?). Finally, top it off with a free shop at home appointment. Sit back, we do the rest.

Sheers, stationary panels, traversing panels, sliding panels
Sheer, or transparent fabric, works well for a layered look or when used on their own. To diffuse sunlight or soften your view in or out, sheers are a great choice when your design concept is to keep it light and airy. From a simple café style to an Austrian shade, sheers can be found in design applications including but not limited to your basic panel. Stationary, or fixed panels are best when draperies are used as a design accessory and not needed as the primary source of privacy. Your glass would either remain unencumbered or the panels may be used in conjunction with a blind or shade. Traversing, or fully operable panels, open and close to function as your primary source of privacy or light control. Add to any of these the elegance of a decorative rod, finials, and rings and you’ve achieved the ultimate look. The hottest trend for doors this year are sliding panels. A luxurious, contemporary look, flat panels on a sliding track can be constructed using your own fabric selection or from the collections of the many manufacturers now offering them. |

Valances, swags & jabots
The classic way to top off your windows, there are valance styles to match every type of design. The straight tailored line of a box pleat is the most versatile style, blending traditional and modern looks. The billowy formality of swags, balloons, and other similar versions, evoke a grand opulence.

Cornices
Another traditional top treatment, cornices have a firm, substantial appearance, demonstrated with beauty and style. Again, straight tailored lines or decorative shapes are each possibilities. Both valances and cornices can stand alone or perform the function of concealing rods when combined with drapery panels.
